Through the Pera Foundation we take our professional expertise and enthusiasm out to our communities, promoting youth enterprise by giving young people, in particular those that are under achieving, innovative opportunities to explore and develop their entrepreneurial potential.
Partnering with local organisations who are already engaged in youth enterprise and supporting initiatives through the Prince's Trust, STEMNET (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths Network), Say Yes UK and the Melton Learning Hub. We pioneer programmes to inspire and inform 14 to 30 year olds, helping them gain self-confidence and self-respect through hands-on activities designed to develop their business skills.
Pera Foundation has thrived thanks to the commitment and capabilities of our people, who volunteer as mentors and coaches. Some choose to help local organisations re-engage disaffected learners, others to support Dragon's Den style start-up competitions and we also have many employees bringing innovation and business alive in schools as Enterprise Ambassadors and tutors.
The Pera Foundation was the first organisation in the East Midlands to receive the Investing in Volunteers for Employers award in recognition of its commitment to best practice in employer-supported volunteering.
