Back-office process improvement
Helping firms create Lean Offices is an important part of the support we provide to firms. We initially work with our clients to understand outputs and measures that are important to the organisation. For example in the NHS, quality of patient care and access are key measures. This work is then used to set the targets for the improvement programme. Detailed analysis of the current processes identifies the specific improvement areas and our practitioners help our clients staff to make the changes necessary.
Whilst our specialists are fully conversant with the latest thinking, tools and techniques, their key skill is indentifying the real issues and then helping our clients implement changes that create real improvement.
One example of how we have helped is Blackhall Engineering. We identified lead time as a key issue and then worked with them to carryout a Lean order processing project which reduced their lead time by 8 weeks. This improvement in delivery time helped them secure more orders and has added £2.3m to their annual turnover over the last three years.
